I'm breeding fancy mice...
This one is one of my favourites, she's called Andastra.
Her color is black tan and the ears are really big. :)

NICE!!! She is lovely! I assume you are in the UK or Europe? Not many good black tans here in the states. I actually imported some last year and am trying to get them to breed well. This doe is just lovely!

Lovely mouse, stunning ears. I own a several tans, two marked backs, a chocolate marked and a argente marked all with tan.
None have quite so rich a tan as this! Its lovely!

I'm wondering, I'm in the UK and wanting some of the colors that don't exist in the UK, how did you get yours imported without it costing a fortune?

She's so beautiful! I got to know these color combination only a short time ago but I already created a digital art of it :D I love the pretty shine and the sharp line between those two colors. Also, I read that they're supposed to hold their tail in 45, I'm glad your mouse doesn't do it. It just looks painful to see them like that although I know they're born with it: [link]

Thank you very much! I didn't know about this "mutation" they are holding their tail high. Looks unnatural! My mice are usually healthy. Sometimes in old age they may get some tumours, for sure... unfortunately a popular problem. :(

It looks indeed unnatural!
I had rats for a long time and they tend to get tumors in their old age, too. It's always difficult to choose wether to get your pet a surgery and work with the risk of the anesthesia or don't go to the vet and later on, put them to sleep.
I guess anesthesia is more risky in little mice than in rats, but also rats are tiny creatures compared to dogs or cats. And it's not easy to find capable hands... :/

Also thank you for sharing this high-resolution picture, I'm using it right now to study their fur structure because I want to make this [link] fluffy. I can sent you a link once it's finished :)
